Rain will push into Northern Ireland and western Scotland, where it will be breezy, while showery rain will also push into south-east England. Elsewhere, it should be largely dry with sunny spells.

Rain will push across many northern and western parts of the UK, while another band of rain will affect south-eastern England.
Clearer with showers later for western Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday
On Friday, rain will push in from the south-west across much of the country during the day, while northern Scotland will be chilly with strong winds and showers.
On Saturday, heavy rain looks to affect England and Wales, while Scotland and Northern Ireland will be chilly with sunny spells and showers.
Chillier for most on Sunday with sunshine but with showers in the north.
