A broad area of low pressure is situated to the south of Iceland with two centre points. Troughs (band of showers) circle these two centres of the low. A cold front lies to the west of Scotland and Northern Ireland with a second cold front situated to the east of it.

Chilly start, with fog patches for some in England and Wales and a few spots of light rain. Becoming drier, with some pleasant sunny spells developing. Elsewhere, breezy with scattered showers, becoming heavy and frequent in the northwest later.

Windy across Scotland and Northern Ireland, reaching gale force at times. Heavy showers here, with longer spells of rain at times. Elsewhere remaining mainly dry, chilly in the southeast.
Monday
Heavy rain crossing many northern areas, with snow on some high ground and a risk of severe gales. Southern areas, mainly dry, rather cloudy, with heavy rain sweeping south later.

Colder for all, with blustery showers, heavy at times with hail and thunder, falling as snow over the hills of Scotland. Windy, with gales in the northwest. Frosts becoming likely.
