Day 1 – glorious weather

BBC weather – Rain is expected across many parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland, quite heavy at times. Elsewhere, another dry, largely sunny and hot day but a few showers are possible across northwest Wales and northwest England during the day.
Tonight

Much of England and Wales dry and largely clear. Further north, rain will ease for a time and edge slowly southeastwards, reaching northern England by morning.
Sunday

Another exceptionally warm day for much of the southern half of the UK. Cloudier elsewhere with rain gradually becoming lighter and spreading back across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday

Cloud and breezy across northern and western parts of the UK with outbreaks of rain at times. Elsewhere, fine and very warm on Monday, then becoming cloudier and less warm.

A warm front lies across the east coast of Ireland and into southwest Scotland. An adjoining cold front trails across Scotland and into the North Sea. High pressure is centred over Poland and extends over much of Europe. A deep area of low pressure lies to the west of Iceland.

A great day to fly at the Grass Roots Meet but not conducive to fly a long way during daylight hours.
