Day 20 – unsettled

Today
Rain will continue moving north across Scotland this morning. Later, more patchy and blustery rain will push northwards. It will be drier in the south with sunny spells, but a few showers in the west.

Tonight
Patchy rain will linger across western and northern areas, with blustery winds. It will be dry in the south and east at first, however heavy rain will arrive from the south-east in the early hours.

Wednesday
Heavy rain will continue in the south-east in the morning, however it will move away to the north in the afternoon. Very strong winds throughout. Elsewhere will be overcast with patchy rain.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday
On Thursday, rain or showers will clear as high pressure builds in from the west, becoming calmer with sunny spells.
On Friday, a band of rain will drift eastwards across the UK, moving into the North Sea by evening, becoming drier later behind the front.
Saturday will be dry for many, with the odd shower in places. However, winds will be strong, especially in the north-west.
