Today
It will be a largely dry day for most today but will feel chilly. Sunny spells likely especially in the south and west. The east will be cloudy at times with scattered showers likely through the day.

Tonight
Chilly night ahead for most, with clear skies expected in the south and west. Cloud will persist further east and across Scotland with a scattering of showers. Local fog possible in the west.

Friday
After a bright and chilly start for most of the country, cloud will thicken from the east and will envelop much the UK by the afternoon. Scattered showers will continue to drift in from the east.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday
Largely dry with patchy cloud on Saturday, with the brightest weather to the west and south, showers likely to drift in from the east.
On Sunday there will be plenty of cloud and light winds, but sunny spells too. Scattered showers from the east possible.
Unsettled weather will be introduced on Monday bringing heavy rain and strong winds. The south-east may avoid any rainfall.
