Today
An unsettled day as low pressure approaches from the west.
Most areas will see some sunny spells but showers will move in.
These could be heavy and thundery, especially in the west.
Windy in the south

Tonight
Remaining unsettled as further showers feed in from the west, with some heavy and thundery bursts again possible.
Longer spells of rain for eastern Scotland.
Increasingly windy for northern Scotland.

Saturday
A mixture of sunny spells and showers, which could again turn heavy and thundery.
Longer spells of rain pushing south across Scotland and into northern England.
Windier for Scotland and N Ireland.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday
A low pressure system will continue to move slowly east across the country over the weekend, keeping it unsettled. Further showers on Sunday, with perhaps longer spells of rain for E Scotland and NE England.
Monday looks to be largely dry for much of the UK, but rain is possible in the far north of Scotland.
A similar story on Tuesday, with rain pushing into the far north-west.
